RD5100 Cable Locator – Cable and Pipe Locator Range

RD5100 Cable Locator – Tracing buried pipes and cables, whether to locate faults or to avoid utilities during excavation work, can present major difficulties. This can be made even worse in cases where a pipe has rubber seals, insulators or even gaps between sections.

These problems, if not overcome, can result in costly repairs, delays and in some instances personal injury.

Guidance Mode

Guidance Mode allows you to rapidly follow the path of a buried utility. Intuitive proportional arrows, a directional ‘needle’ and differentiated audio tones guide you along the target pipe or cable.

TruDepth™

Depth readings are only indicated when the RD5100 locator is correctly oriented above the target cable, pipe or sonde.

The RD5100H2O and RD5100S are available in Imperial and Metric versions, while the RD5100H2O+ model can be customised using the menu to work in either units of measure.

Compass

Visually indicates orientation of the target cables.
Allows the operator to quickly and easily follow the target line.
Maximizes depth measurement accuracy by ensuring the locator is correctly with the target line.

Dynamic Overload Protection

Extends the RD5100’s locate capability into areas where other products fail.
Automatically filters out large and unwanted signals while ensuring accurate location of the target utility.
Particularly useful in electrically noisy environments such as power sub stations or near overhead high-voltage cables.

Audio tones

When in Guidance Mode a continuous tone to the left of the target and an
intermittent tone to the right helps guide you towards the target.

Depth and Current

A simultaneous read-out on active lines for confidence you are following the correct target.

Li-Ion rechargeable battery options

Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery options for both locator and transmitter provide extended runtime with reduced running costs.
